This classic Australian beach shack has been a true passion project and I’m so thrilled to see it come to life! I wanted to really embrace the shacks mid century style and create spaces that felt like they were always there. I wanted the spaces to feel fun, playful and considered and totally iconic to the era of house. The musky pink tiles mixed with the soft chocolate brown on the floor, just feels so dreamy and matches perfectly to the vintage pink sanitary ware that I sourced. I also added in a handful of pink tiles scattered throughout the brown flooring, just to add that little extra nod to the vintage bathrooms that I adore so much.
I carried the theme of brown tiles into the kitchen with the delicious rich brown splash back. This was the starting point of creating the colour palette and mood for the rest of the kitchen and I’m so happy how it turned out. I love how the tiles bring all the elements in the kitchen together, from the joinery, cooker, vintage door and wallpaper.
