The Dos & Don’ts of Working with Grout
When working with Mapei Ultracolor Plus grout, there are several things to keep in mind in order to ensure a top quality finish in your tiling project. When preparing your grout for use, remember that this product does not contain Portland cement and should not be combined with gypsum or any other hydraulic binders.
It is also recommended that you do not add water to the mixture after it has already started to set. When preparing your grout for use, it is always recommended that only clean water be used and no salty or dirty water be mixed in as this will compromise the quality of the finish. It is also recommended that this grout be used on days where the temperature sits anywhere between 5°C and 35°C; using grout on days where the temperate is below 5°C or exceeds 35°C will affect the quality and structure of the product.
